Recipes Spaghetti Pie
Get your kids involved in making dinner! My Spaghetti Pie recipe is a quick easy dinner that will become a FANTASTIC FAMILY FAVORITE!
Preheat oven to 350.
Cook 6 oz. spaghetti. (My family loves Angel Hair as it really absorbs the sauce, meat mixture and cheeses.)
Drain and stir in 2 Tbs. butter, 1/3 c. Parmesan and 2 well-beaten eggs.
In a buttered 10″ pie plate, form spaghetti into the crust. Push the spaghetti up the sides of the dish to make a deep well. Set aside.
Brown 1 lb. hamburger and/or sausage, 1 c. chopped onion and 1 c. chopped green pepper. Drain the excess fat. Add 1 8 oz. can tomatoes, 1 6 oz. can tomato paste, 1 tsp. sugar, 1 tsp. oregano, and tsp. garlic salt.
In the spaghetti shell, spread 1 c. of cottage cheese on the bottom. Heat the meat & tomato filling through and spread on top of the cottage cheese, filling the pie.
Bake uncovered for 20 mins.
Sprinkle 1 c. grated mozzarella and bake for 5 mins. longer or until the cheese is all melted and gooey.
Serve immediately with a fresh tossed garden salad. Enjoy!
